Pew Power = Working together to present everyone mature in Christ

Pew power volunteers are the heartbeat of Chapel Hill Church. Sunday School teachers, worship leaders, greeters, dramatists, special event hosts—the list of what our people do in service is a long and fascinating one. You won't be here long before clasping hands with or drinking coffee alongside an active volunteer. Ministry happens, needs are met, and people are befriended because volunteers serve in ways that matter. Most of our volunteers start serving right here on-site. Many eventually find their ways into serving alongside one of our mission ministry partners—locally or in a distant land.

Volunteers impact the lives of very young children, seniors—and every age in between. They rock babies and serve communion to the home-bound elderly. Volunteers dig holes and build towers, drive vans and walk miles to raise money and awareness. They sew quilts and ring bells for prison inmates and bake cookies for the bereaved. In so doing, pew power acts as the hands and feet of Jesus here at Chapel Hill and throughout the community and world.

** This team serves the strategic purpose of helping to guide our church into being a body of believers who are engaged in Christ-honoring ministry here, in our community, and around the world. This involves the interaction of the deacon led volunteer team with ministry leaders who are sometimes staff members and sometimes are volunteers themselves.
